L'Wren Scott for Lancome

 

L'Wren Scott is bringing her creativity to Lancome for the Holiday 2010 cosmetic collection.

Fashion stylist-turned-designer L’Wren Scott has created a line of cosmetics with Lancome for their Holiday 2010 collection. “The first thing I thought of was that I wanted to do my signature red—my bordeaux,” Scott, a frequent sporter of ruby red lips

Her first mission? “To interpret a red lipstick that could be worn from day to night.” And that hers does—depending on the application, you can wear it totally sheer or far darker,and the line hits stores this November.

 

“The first thing I thought of was that I wanted to do my signature red — my
bordeaux,” explained Scott, who worked with Lancôme’s artistic director for
makeup, Aaron De Mey, on the capsule collection, which includes a red lipstick,
lip gloss and nail polish, among other items.
Scott said:
Lancôme executives, “I would like to try to interpret a red lipstick that could
be worn from day to night.” Proffering a makeup-stained hand from earlier
demonstrations, she showed how the lipstick can look sheer or dark, depending on
