MAC Cosmetics Q&A

Follow my blog with bloglovin´

I have send an email to MAC Artist about choosing colour shade for my MAC foundation, I was unsure which colour to go, I read on internet that i can also use NC xxx and NWxxx, so to avoid the mistake i send an email to MAC Artist, and i fastly get a reply,
Thanks to Danni,,

Thank you for taking the time to Email An Artist!

I would be happy to help you out today.
I asked i am using NC40 MAC Studio Fix Fluid may I also use NW40
I also asked i am also using MAC Select Tint. Now i can not find it anywhere, Is this product said goodbye?

The warm vs. cool issue can be confusing.  We use an Artist's colour wheel to assist us in determining undertones.  It places yellow undertones into the cool category and pink undertones into the warm category.

-       NC (neutral cool) is neutral beige with golden undertones.
-       NW (neutral warm) is neutral beige with pink undertones.
-       N (neutral) is a blend of pink and yellow undertones
-       C (cool) shades have olive yellow undertones.

If you currently were the shade NC40 then NW40 will not be suitable for you and be far to dark. MAC SELECT TINT foundation has been replaced with STUDIO MOISTURE TINT.
MAC has launched a brand new liquid tint called STUDIO MOISTURE TINT SPF 15

. This tinted moisturiser is gorgeous. This sheer tint provides just enough coverage to even out the skin tone while creating a flawless protected, softly moisturized finish. STUDIO MOISTURE TINT SPF 15 is Suitable for all skin tones.
The shade I would advise is MEDIUM - DARK
I hope this is of assistance to you.
If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

so what did we learn is, the rumours going on internet that if we are using NC20 we can also use NW20 is not true...
