Glo & Ray Mariposa Misty Dark Eye Shadow Palette Swatches

Glo & Ray Mariposa Misty Dark Eye Shadow Palette Swatches

Glo & Ray is a British Brand.  Mostly like their cream eye shadows, I have tested them at their event but unfortunately I do not have any to show you the swatches.

I can not say that the eye shadow palette ( this particular one) is pigmented and soft.
Interesting part it is it is not even dusty....

To be honest,   I am not a great fan of black smokey eyes, I look like panda, also I do not like it on my self, on my skin tone, I do not have to use black smokey eyes just because it is trendy or a celeb is using that style. I follow what goes nice on me and my skin tone.

But for the price they are not bad..
£12.50 each at Glo-ray.co.uk

Some of the eye shadows I have tried at the event seemed more pigmented.

If it is worth to try out Glo and Ray is totally up to you, It is a smokey eye palette and yet it is not pigmented enough, it is disappointing but maybe other shades are different,

I definitely recommend the cream eye shadows - lipsticks and blushes, I tried and tested them at the event.

  2. I like these kinds of palette that make creating a specific look really easy but the formula does look a little powdery and the pigmentation could be better for the price. Lovely review :)

    1. I know i like those type of palettes as well but this one is almost liked it has been pressed a little bit too much, it was not really pigmented, a bit upsetting as the brand has got lovely products, it is not a bad brand, it could be better..

  14. Sam it is in between Nars Orgasm and Super Orgasm. But it is gorgeous...

    ReplyDelete
  15. umm if you do not blend and leave it be, yes it is but you need blend it with your fingers. or if you so wish you can use it as a lippie

    ReplyDelete
  16. I do not see any reason why men can not use it. There is no rule, you can use if you wish.

  17. I know, it was a big disappointment, and I do not understand how everyone talks good about this...

  34. They are soft, and worths the money, but as I mentioned my brushes are quite old sometimes brand changes their brushes just to earn more money, I hope they are still the same.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Beige , and orange are the first right? then red and the one after red is gold?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Only the two first shaders are wearable for me.

    ReplyDelete
  37. oh you can use the gold one, that's pretty usable, not too strong.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think you bought the mineral blush which is what your picture looks like. The soft touch blush is red orange!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would use maybe the yelllow one for all lid shadow

  42. I agree, I dont know it it will show on me, but myabe just for the shine for some. Not into nudes but this one can give a polished look

    ReplyDelete
  43. pretty shade for a day look

    ReplyDelete
  44. it's a great shade for those who have light skin, but I can only use it over a matching lipstick :((

    ReplyDelete
  45. exactly. I got kind of fed up with make up. But happily found some make up that works for me. But I don't dare to try more stuff. I also feels Nobody will do the same for me so wont wast more.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Beige , and orange are the first right? then red and the one after red is gold?

    ReplyDelete
  47. That pisses me off, that we can't try the lippies, what I do is i use my fingers to apply the lipstick in drugstores, or I go to lancome counter take the disposable lip brushes I apply that way, I have given lots lippies as I buy by just looking at the shade in the pot.

    ReplyDelete
  48. same here, I got pissed at myself for wasting money. And most of the time people I have give to , dont show any kind of appreciation.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I know, but there is not much things I can do about it.. Lip products are tricky, the shades looks different on different skin tones. To avoid misleading I do as much as swatch I can. These new 2014 summer Gosh Lipsticks are creamy & glossy.

    ReplyDelete
  50. yes completely agree, they don't show appreciation, and they expect you to give them high end makeup.. One of them even said I want to receive Chanel Lip Sticks.. I am not out of my mind to throw away my Chanel or YSL.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Misleading for someone who buys online

    ReplyDelete
  52. In the tube seems kind of red , on the swatch kind of pink and on lips shiny pink rose.
    Lipsticks can be tricky sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I know, there is not much you can do, I got a few wrong shades because of that, In some stores u cant swatch or if you are allowed to swatch is only on your arm which is pretty much not the idea, the skin tone on your lips is different.
I was pissed today because of that. I think I have giving away more lipstick during my make up life that what I own myself.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I know it looks kind of red, i was surprised to see it looks kind of red when I transfer the picts to my pc, it is actually deep dark fuchsia..

    ReplyDelete
  55. The sound good I also use baby produkts , also not a mommy

    ReplyDelete
  56. These look so Beautiful ! i want to try it .. Lovely shade

  66. use it as soon as you apply your daily creams, while your skin is still wet, than blend it nicely, or just use it with your finger tips, I have oily skin as well, but it looks nice especially when u do a night makeup

    ReplyDelete
  67. I found this too shimmery for my super oily skin!

    ReplyDelete
